Create your first AI-powered chatbot with SiteAssist
This quickstart guide shows you how to set up your first chatbot with SiteAssist.
After completing this guide, you will have a live chatbot in your website ready to answer customer questions.
Get Started
After you complete the authentication process, and creating your first Workspace from the onboarding process you are ready to create your first project.
Create a Project
From the main overview page (which you’ll be redirected to after creating your workspace), create a new project.
Add Website Pag
- Navigate to the
Pages
tab from the sidebar. - Click on Add Pages to open the modal window.
- Enter your website URL, or sitemap URL, and click
Fetch Links
. This will fetch all the links from that website or sitemap. - Click the Add Pages button to add all the fetched pages.
Adding pages starts the training process. Once training is complete, the AI will understand your website’s content.
Customize Your Assistant
On the Assistants
page, you can create and personalize chatbots by extending the system prompt. This page features a split view: the editor on the left and a live chat test on the right. You can test your changes without saving the changes. After your are satisifed with the AI response you can save it.
Adjust Appearance Settings
Visit the Appearance
page to customize your chatbot’s display name, welcome message, branding, and more.
Embed the Chatb
- Go to the
Embed
tab in the sidebar. - Copy the provided widget or iframe script.
- Paste it into your website’s code to add the chatbot widget.
You’re all set! Your AI chatbot is now ready to engage visitors and assist your customers.
